Portrait of Aneindita A Sarkar

Hello, I’m

Aneindita A Sarkar

Senior Technical Architect · 18+ years building scalable systems

I am a senior technical architect with close to 18 years of experience building scalable, cloud-native systems: microservices architecture, event-driven design and distributed systems, mostly on the JVM, mostly on Kafka, mostly at a scale where the numbers get interesting.

Most recently I architected the Firefly Creative Production platform for GenAI-based creative APIs at Adobe. Before that I led rewards platforms at Zeta (5M+ transactions a day), the Engineering Excellence Program at PayPal (4,500+ microservice instances), price transformation at Tesco, automotive IoT at Harman and enterprise migrations at Capgemini — and before all of that I co-founded a startup that published 50+ applications.

Firefly Creative Production platform

Architecture of the Firefly Creative Production platform for GenAI-based creative APIs — microservices driving GenAI use cases on AWS.

  • Designed microservices for GenAI use cases using NestJS, Kafka and DocumentDB on AWS.

Payzapp & Zappcredit Rewards platform

Led the rewards platform processing 5M+ daily transactions for 14M+ users at 99.95% uptime — event-driven microservices with a real-time rules engine.

  • Drools rules engine for real-time rewards processing (14M+ users).
  • Event-driven microservices with Spring Boot, Kafka and PostgreSQL.

Engineering Excellence Program

Led the programme that modernised 4,500+ microservice instances — CI/CD automation, deployment architecture and pipeline validation.

  • Jenkins plugins for CI/CD automation reducing build times by 40%.
  • Deployment solutions on Kubernetes and Mesos; pipeline failures reduced by 35% through improved validation.

Harman International · 2018 – 2020

Ignite automotive IoT platform & TCU-Shield

Architected the Ignite automotive IoT platform supporting millions of connected vehicles, with TCU-Shield security modules for vehicle data protection.

  • Kafka Streams event-processing pipelines at 100K+ events/second.
  • Microservices optimised: memory down 40%, latency down 50%.

Techworks Technologies — Antida and 50+ apps

Co-founded the startup and built its engineering team from scratch. Built ‘Antida’, a peer-to-peer file transfer application in Java, and published 50+ mobile applications on iTunes, Google Play and BlackBerry.

  • Enterprise applications on Spring, Hibernate and MySQL; a custom persistence framework outperforming existing solutions.
  • End-to-end product development and delivery.

Now — August 2026

  • Senior technical architect — cloud-native microservices, event-driven and distributed systems, GenAI platforms.
  • Pursuing a six-month AI Engineering fellowship; recently completed Outskill’s AI Engineering and AI Generalist accelerator programmes.
  • Building and running small educational products with my family — QuizWrap, Quiz Ajit, Sinha Academy, Ajit Kids (see Sites).
