About

Eighteen years of building it, scaling it, improving it.

Cloud-native microservices, event-driven design and distributed systems — from startup co-founder to architect of GenAI platforms.

What I actually do

I architect and build the systems that sit behind large consumer and enterprise products: cloud-native microservices, event-driven pipelines and distributed data paths. I own them end to end — the service boundaries, the messaging backbone, the data stores, the deployment pipeline and the dashboards that tell you it is healthy.

The through-line of my career is scale under real constraints: a rewards platform processing 5M+ transactions a day for 14M+ users; an automotive IoT platform streaming 100K+ events a second from millions of connected vehicles; a price-transformation platform covering 300K+ products; and, most recently, a GenAI creative-production platform at Adobe.

How I work

Event-driven by default. Kafka and Kafka Streams have been the backbone of almost everything I have built since 2018 — Harman, Tesco, Zeta, Adobe — because decoupled, replayable streams are how systems stay honest as they grow.

Measure, then make it faster. The numbers I care about are the ones on the dashboard: response times from 800ms to 200ms with a caching strategy, ElasticSearch queries 60% faster, memory down 40% and latency down 50% across a fleet of services, deployments from four hours to thirty minutes.

Boring, proven technology. Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker — with newer pieces (NestJS, Spring WebFlux, Drools, LangChain) adopted where they earn their place. Novelty goes into the product, not the toolchain.

Engineering excellence is a programme, not a slogan. At PayPal I led one across 4,500+ microservice instances: Jenkins plugins that cut build times by 40%, validation that cut pipeline failures by 35%. At Tesco, 95%+ code coverage halved production defects.

What I care about

Security and reliability as design inputs — TCU-Shield security modules for vehicle data at Harman, HashiCorp Vault across 50+ services, 99.95% uptime on a platform that never gets a quiet day.

People. I have built an engineering team from scratch as a co-founder and mentored multiple engineering teams on modern architecture patterns since. Good architecture is the kind the next engineer can pick up.

Keeping the builder’s habit. Outside work I ship small products with my family: QuizWrap, Quiz Ajit, Sinha Academy and Ajit Kids — RAG, LLM tool calling and a lot of Copilot-assisted evenings.

Beyond the keyboard

I hold an MCA (2005) and a BCA (2002). I have been a startup co-founder and technical lead (Techworks Technologies, Kolkata, 2008–2014), a senior consultant, a principal engineer twice over, and a senior computer scientist — and I have recently been going deep on AI engineering: Outskill’s AI Engineering and AI Generalist accelerator programmes (2nd place in the hackathon), and a six-month AI Engineering fellowship in progress.

Based in Bengaluru, India. You may also see my name spelled Anindita — the résumé and some older profiles use that form; same person.
